Everything You Need to Know For Fall Festival 

Mark your calendars for the Fall Festival on Friday, October 30 from 6 pm - 9 pm!

 📍Location: NES bus port, gym, and cafeteria

PARKING & SHUTTLE INFORMATION

 

 

Parking Options: Parking is limited at Nickajack, so we have reserved Sanatan Mandir Temple + Griffin Middle School for parking! Parking is also available at the Silver Comet Trail while it lasts.

 

Shuttle Bus: There will be 2 shuttles buses running: MTI Limo, which is ADA-friendly, and Smyrna First Baptist. Shuttles will be running between Nickajack and Griffin Middle School from 5 pm - 10 pm.

 

We have ADA options available!

- Accessible parking on-site at Nickajack + we are reserving extra accessible spaces by the cafeteria doors.

- If you need ADA shuttle services, please park at Griffin Middle School and take the MTI Limo shuttle. Handicap drop-off is also available at the cafeteria doors at Nickajack.

You will need to show the officer a blue handicap tag or a blue school tag.

🐷💋 KISS THE PIG IS BACK! 💋🐷

 

Who will be puckering up at this year’s Fall Festival?! 🍂

The teacher who raises the MOST money will be crowned our Kiss the Pig champion and get ultimate honor (or maybe the ultimate embarrassment! 😂) — a big smooch from a real pig! ❤️ Online donations are open until 10/29 at midnight! The kids can vote with coins in the front lobby from 10/26 - 10/30, with theirs being the final vote on Friday!

COSTUME CONTEST 

 

 

Show off your creativity during the Fall Festival Costume Contest and bring your best costume to the celebration. Come dressed to impress and enjoy the fun! Each grade will have its own designated time to compete, so make sure you know when your grade takes the stage!

 

A FALL FESTIVAL FOR EVERYONE

 

 

We’re excited to offer a Sensory Room at this year’s Fall Festival! 🧩 The Sensory Room will be a teacher-led, quiet and calming environment where students and families can take a break from the sights, sounds, and excitement of the festival. 

 

Located in both Ms. Nikki's classroom + the school Sensory Classroom.

Our Book Fair Is Almost Here — We Need YOU!

It's that exciting time of year again! Our Book Fair is coming November 9–13, and we need some wonderful volunteers to help make it a success!

 

Whether you can lend a hand for an hour or spend more time with us, every bit of help makes a difference! We are looking for volunteers in the following areas:

 

Book Fair Set-Up – Friday, November 6 | 8:00–11:00 AM
Help us transform the library into a book lover's paradise!

Help our students experience the joy of choosing their next great read!

Check-In: 6:50 AM at the front doors

(Must bring a Photo ID and be listed as an approved adult with the "Release To" box checked in ParentVue)

Breakfast & Program: 7:00 AM – 7:35 AM in the Cafeteria

Classroom Reading: 7:35 AM

(Readers gather in the Media Center right after breakfast and head to classrooms after morning announcements)

Parking: Silver Comet Trail lot

(Please avoid the staff lot and bus port!)

 Is Your Student Missing Items?

Lost & Found Claim Deadline is October 30

 

 

It’s that time again, our Lost & Found lockers are overflowing!

 

Students and families can check for missing items during school hours or at special events. The lockers are located directly across from the nurse’s office near the front entrance.

 

We encourage families to stop by and check the lockers while enjoying the Fall Festival on October 30th. Volunteers will return any items with a legible name to the student’s classroom.

 

All unclaimed items will be donated after October 30th, so don’t wait!

Celebrate with the Birthday Marquee!

 

This year, celebrate your Nickajack Brave with a birthday announcement on the school's marquee! Marquee announcements can be purchased for Nickajack students, staff, and teachers. 

 

📌 Note: Due to software update requirements, all marquee requests must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM Thursday to be displayed the following week. Please plan ahead for upcoming birthdays and celebrations!
