Nickajack PTA Events
The PTA hosts various community events, which are not considered a fundraiser.
These events are open to the entire school to attend with their families. Our events are not "drop off" events and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Here's a list of events that we host during the school year:

The Nickajack PTA hosts fundraisers during the school year.
The Nickajack Dash is our flagship fundraiser and takes place in March. Every child participates in this annual fun run with their class during the school day. The PTA provides each child a spirit wear tee that is worn during the fun run. The funds from this event support school initiatives and capital improvements.
The Kiss the Pig fundraiser takes place in conjunction with the annual Fall Festival in October. Scholars and their families donate quarters, nickels, dimes and pennies to vote for the teacher or staff member they'd like to Kiss the Pig at the Fall Festival.
PTA hosts an annual Virtual Auction where families and community members can bid on gifts, prizes, and experiences from area businesses.

In addition to these fundraisers that support school initiatives and capital improvements, Nickajack PTA hosts gift funds for Teacher Appreciation Week and the Holidays to ensure all teachers and staff receive recognition. Every dollar of funds raised through the gift fund campaigns goes to teachers and staff.

How events operate:
The event committee determines all aspects of the event. They determine, the look, the feel, the run of show, the desired outcome for our community...everything! If you have ideas on improving or enhancing events, or just want to be involved, join an event committee.
The PTA executive board funds these events, but our volunteers make it happen!
